Herworks' Ethnic Group Vocational Training Centre

The HerWorks Ethnic Group Vocational Training Centre is a women-led, socially driven initiative aimed at empowering ethnic minority women through traditional craft training and sustainable product development. Developed by HerWorks Co., Ltd., the center is located in Vientiane Capital and is funded entirely by the private sector. Connected Consultant Sole Co., Ltd. was responsible for conducting the Initial Environmental Examination (IEE), which confirmed that the project posed minimal environmental risk. The assessment focused on waste management, energy use, water supply, and local traffic impacts. Recommendations were made for eco-friendly construction, accessibility for persons with disabilities, and integration of green design elements. The project also supports the national development goal of promoting creative industries and inclusive, culturally grounded entrepreneurship.
