Nam Ngiep 2C Hydropower Plant (NNP2C)

The Nam Ngiep 2C Hydropower Project spans areas in Xieng Khouang and Xaysomboun Provinces and is located at the confluence of the Nam Hai and Nam Ngiep Rivers. Developed under a Concession Agreement with the Government of Lao PDR, the project is financed by private investment and aims to supply renewable energy. Connected Consultant Sole Co., Ltd., working under subcontract to TA DAM Energy Consulting Co., Ltd., supported the preparation of the Dam Break Analysis and Emergency Action Plan (EAP). The assignment included technical assessments of dam break scenarios, lidar drone mapping of the surrounding catchment, consultation with local authorities and communities, and review of the project’s basic dam design. These tasks helped ensure comprehensive emergency preparedness and improved regulatory compliance in accordance with Lao dam safety legislation and international hydro-industry standards.
