Description
The Taler Lake Tourism Development Project in Nasaythong District, Vientiane Capital, is a USD 100 million eco-tourism initiative led by Phanmixay Co., Ltd. The project envisions transforming the natural lake and surrounding landscape into a multifunctional destination offering recreation, leisure, and green infrastructure. Connected Consultant Sole Co., Ltd. was commissioned to provide both master planning services and the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA). The ESIA identified risks related to habitat disturbance, water resource use, waste generation, and local land-use changes. Through public engagement and scenario analysis, Connected designed mitigation strategies that preserve the lake’s ecological function while enabling sustainable tourism. The project aligns with Vientiane Capital’s vision for green urban development and is expected to generate jobs, boost small businesses, and enhance the city’s appeal to local and international visitors.
