Dakchung Bauxite-Alumina Industrial Complex Project

The Dakchung Bauxite-Alumina Industrial Complex Project in Sekong Province is a large-scale industrial mining venture led by VPG Lao-Viet JSC Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Viet Phuong Group from Vietnam. The project encompasses bauxite extraction and processing into alumina, with a production target of one million tons annually. Connected Consultant Sole Co., Ltd. prepared the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) and Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) to ensure that the project complies with Lao mining and environmental laws as well as international sustainability standards. The assessment considered impacts on water resources, biodiversity, local communities, and labor conditions. Connected’s role was critical in enabling the project to secure environmental approval and move toward responsible mineral development.
