Development of the Mekong Riverside Area n Sibounheuang Tha Village, Sikhottabong District, Vientiane Capital, with a total length of 2.71 km

The Development of the Mekong Riverside Area in Sibounheuang Tha, located in Sikhottabong District of Vientiane Capital, is an urban revitalization project aimed at creating a vibrant, multi-use riverfront corridor. With a total investment of USD 30 million, the project spans 2.71 kilometers along the Mekong River and is fully financed by a Lao private investor under a 50-year concession. Connected Consultant Sole Co., Ltd. conducted the Initial Environmental Examination (IEE), evaluating the project’s impacts on natural habitats, drainage systems, waste management, and land use. The IEE guided the project’s design to ensure environmental compatibility and supported sustainable development goals by integrating public green space, recreational facilities, and local business opportunities.
