Investment Potential Analysis of Boten SEZ

The Boten Special Economic Zone (SEZ) Investment Potential Analysis was conducted to support the Government of Lao PDR and developers in understanding the logistics and cross-border trade opportunities in the northern Lao–China corridor. Located in Luang Namtha Province at the international border with China, the Boten SEZ is strategically positioned along the Laos-China Railway and China’s Belt and Road Initiative. Connected Consultant Sole Co., Ltd. was engaged to prepare a technical and financial feasibility proposal for future investment and land-use planning. This analysis focused on logistics services, warehousing, customs operations, and supporting industries. It also included recommendations on environmental and social safeguards for future development phases. The study provided critical data and investment justification for regional integration, with strong emphasis on public-private partnership frameworks and sustainable cross-border trade facilitation.
